A HALESOWEN headteacher was presented with an award for her outstanding leadership at the Labour Party Conference.
Sylvia Heal MP, Pauline Rodgers, community activist Anne West and Prime Minister Gordon Brown.
Paulilne Rodgers, of Hasbury Primary, was presented with the award by Schools Secretary Ed Balls and comedian Eddie Izzard, before being congratulated by the Prime Minister Gordon Brown.
Pauline was nominated for the accolade by community campaigner Anne West whose grandson attends the school and has seen first hand the difference she has made as headteacher.
She received the award due to her outstanding leadership of the school, where her drive and enthusiasm is appreciated by the whole school community.
Sylvia Heal said: “I was delighted Pauline Rodgers won this special award.
"I was pleased to be able to welcome her to the Labour Party Conference and introduce her to the Prime Minister.
"The school motto of ‘Every Child, Every Day, Happy to Learn’ highlights Pauline’s ideas about teaching and the school.”
