Pauline was nominated for the accolade by community campaigner Anne West whose grandson attends the school and has seen first hand the difference she has made as headteacher.

She received the award due to her outstanding leadership of the school, where her drive and enthusiasm is appreciated by the whole school community.

Sylvia Heal said: “I was delighted Pauline Rodgers won this special award.

"I was pleased to be able to welcome her to the Labour Party Conference and introduce her to the Prime Minister.

"The school motto of ‘Every Child, Every Day, Happy to Learn’ highlights Pauline’s ideas about teaching and the school.”
