Bromsgrove-based property agents A Victor Powell have been boosted by the arrival of chartered surveyor Peter Chesshire.

The appointment comes as part of growth plans for A Victor Powell which was the subject of a merger with long established commercial property consultancy John Truslove in October 2013.

Mr Chesshire joined from Henley-in-Arden agents John Earle on Monday, December 1.

His role will be to support director Adrian Powell in residential agency sales, lettings, mortgage valuations, and the management of the firm’s residential and commercial property portfolio.

He said: “This is clearly a very good time to be joining A Victor Powell, a long established and well known name in Bromsgrove and north Worcestershire.

“I am very pleased to be working alongside Adrian who has such extensive knowledge and experience of the local market.”

Welcoming him to A Victor Powell, Adrian Powell said: “Since we announced the merger with John Truslove in 2013, the business has grown steadily and we now need to build on this with Peter being a central part of our expansion plans.”

Married with two children, Peter Chesshire lives in Wootton Wawen, Warwickshire, and is a keen golfer in his spare time.

The John Truslove practice was established more than 33 years ago but it can trace a longer history through its acquisition of Redditch surveyors Neasom & White which was founded in 1856.

A Victor Powell was founded in 1946 by Victor Powell and his two sons David and Adrian have steadily expanded the family firm of chartered surveyors, auctioneers and estate agents.
