Halesowen punk pop band Glass Lashes are among the first of 54 acts to perform in the Live Band of The Year competition at the Robin 2 in Bilston.
The band, which formed six months ago and features Natalie Rogers on vocals, Paul Jonson on lead guitar, Ben Newberry on bass and Richard Lavill on drums, are set to pull out all the stops in their bid to win..
"We're really looking forward to it," said singer Natalie.
"We'd like to invite anyone who likes punk music to come along and vote for us on the night.
The competition gets under way on Monday June 16 with sets from The Vants, Sam Draisey and The Razorbacks with Glass Lashes set to appear during the second heat.
Mike Hamblett from the Robin 2, on Mount Pleasant, said: "The fantastic range of prizes on offer for this year's competition winners must be a great kick start to help any young band.
"It is the complete band promotion package, mix down, artwork, record deal, publishing, cash and live DVD shoot."
