A Halesowen music guru has left his mark on one of the industry's top award shows.
Roy Davis, of Stennels Avenue, was asked to be a judge at this year's Brit Awards and attended this month's launch party in London in order to cast his vote.
He and wife Jaci mingled with celebrities including Kelly Osbourne and bands which included the Editors and Kaiser Chiefs.
Roy, who runs a Birmingham based rehearsal studio and also hosts a radio show, revealed he was asked to be a judge because of his connections with the British Phonographic In-dustry (BPI).
He said: "The offer to be a judge came completely out of the blue, and to be honest I was more than a little surprised.
"Obviously I was chuffed to bits and accepted immediately."
