NOUVELLE Vague found success by resurrecting New Wave classics and performing them in a bossa nova style.

The french group's repertoire, which includes songs by artist's such as The Clash, Joy Division and The Undertones, struck a chord with fans resulting in sales of their debut album topping 200,000.

The band create their unique sound by forgetting the initial punk or new wave background of each song, keeping fundamental chords and working with young singers who never heard the original versions.

Catch Nouvelle Vague at Wolverhampton's Wulfrun Hall on Saturday February 16.
