ONE of the most universally loved and quintessentially English novels of all time is being brought to life at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre this week.

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, which tells the story of the Bennet family and their five unmarried daughters, has been adapted for the stage by Simon Reads and is running at the Broad Street theatre following sell-out performances in London.

Regent’s Park Theatre’s critically acclaimed production, which runs from Tuesday November 8 until Saturday November 12, stars TV's Felicity Montagu as Mrs Bennet, former Stars in their Eyes TV show host Matthew Kelly as Mr Bennet, Tafline Steen as Elizabeth Bennet, Benjamin Dilloway as Mr Darcy and Doña Croll as Lady Catherine De Bourgh.

The show, directed by Deborah Bruce, marks the return of Regent’s Park Theatre to The REP following its 2015 hit production of Lord of the Flies.

Tickets, priced from £15, are available from the box office on 0121 236 4455 or online at birmingham-rep.co.uk
