THIRTY years on from when Patrick Swayze smouldered as Johnny in Dirty Dancing, Vue Birmingham is sashaying back in time for a special screening of the cinema classic.
To celebrate the anniversary of the coming-of-age tale, Vue has announced a series of one-off showings at locations across the UK on Valentine’s Day.
A whole generation fell in love with Dirty Dancing when it was released in the 80’s, as they followed the story of teenager Baby’s (Jennifer Grey) forbidden love affair with dance teacher Johnny (Swayze) as they meet while she is on a family vacation at Kellerman’s holiday resort in the Catskill Mountains.
Over the course of the movie Johnny and Baby’s romance creates some of the most iconic silver screen love scenes as well as infamous dialogue – everybody knows that nobody puts Baby in the corner!
