A SPECTACULAR new production of much loved musical La Cage Aux Folles will be performed on the Black Country stage this week.

Acclaimed theatre producer Bill Kenwright brings the show’s first ever UK tour to Wolverhampton Grand Theatre between Tuesday, June 27, and Saturday, July 1.

La Cage Aux Folles follows the story of Georges – played by Broadway star Adrian Zmed – the manager of a Saint Tropez nightclub, and his partner Albin – staring Eastenders and West End favourite John Partridge – a drag artiste and the club’s star attraction.

Tickets for the shows, costing between £24.50 and £45.50, can be bought online at www.grandtheatre.co.uk or by calling the box office on 01902 429212.

The multi-award winning musical became an instant smash hit when it opened on Broadway in 1983, receiving nine nominations for Tony Awards and winning six, including Best Musical, Best Score and Best Book.
