A COMIC who has appeared on Live At The Apollo and The Mash Report is headlining a top bill of stand-up in Stourbridge this Friday (August 3).

Geoff Norcott, who claims to be the only openly Conservative voting comic on the circuit, takes centre stage at the intimate Fitz of Laughter Comedy Club at Katie Fitzgerald’s in Wollaston.

As well as his TV appearances, which also include BBC’s Question Time, Norcott also headlines all the big name comedy clubs including Glee, The Comedy Store and Komedia, as well as appearing in gigs all over the world.

The night will be a double headline bill as circuit favourite Roger Monkhouse, who also closes all the big clubs, will open the show.

Two up-and-coming acts will be given their chance to perform in the middle of the headliners, with resident MC Wayne Beese hosting the show.

Dudley stand-up Beese said: “This has the potential to be one of our best shows ever.

“On any other Friday night this year Norcott and Monkhouse would both be out there headlining at different clubs, so to get them both on the same bill is a real coup for us.

“Both of them are genuinely brilliant comics and I can guarantee that if you come, you’ll have a great night.”

The intimate 100-seater club runs on the first Friday of every month and was nominated as Best Midlands Comedy Night in the What’s On Readers Awards for both 2017 and 2018.

Previous acts to grace the stage include Joe Lycett, Seann Walsh, Lost Voice Guy, Tom Stade, Paul Sinha and Hal Cruttenden.
