WORDSLEY Amateur Dramatic Society has scooped a hat trick of awards at the regional round of the All England Theatre Festival.
Jeff Kennedy picked up the Bishampton Barnstormers Anniversary Trophy for best comedy for the group's dramatisation of The London Vertigo, by Brian Friel, at the Worcestershire Theatre Festival last weekend.
And Andrew Rock won the Norbury Theatre Trophy for best actor for his role as Count Mushroom in The London Vertigo; he also scooped the Peter Mellors Award for best original piece of theatre for his self-penned poignant drama - Remembrance.
Bob Cotton from WADS said: "We're quite thrilled that we have walked away with three awards - that's quite an achievement."
