STOURBRIDGE Folk Club will be hosting Eddy Morton's new album launch at Katie Fitzgerald's in Enville Street on Thursday night.

The singer songwriter, who has run the Wollaston music venue for the last 14 years, made his musical name as frontman of folk band The Bushbury's with whom he toured the UK and Europe for 11 years - releasing eight albums.

And as a solo artist he's recorded three albums and toured extensively across the UK, Ireland and USA.

His latest offering Rainbow Man features guest musicians; Andy Jones on fiddle, Eliza Marshall on bansoori and bass flute, Aiden O’Brien on uillean pipes, Lee Southall on harmonica and special guest Sunjay Brayne on guitar.

Eddy also recently recorded a song for Labour's parliamentary candidate Pete Lowe - which appears on the newly-released Born, Bred, Believes album along with Eddy's ditty The Battle for Stourbridge which recalls a famous event in canal history.

Pete Lowe said: "Eddy is one of Stourbridge's best kept secrets and I would encourage anyone to listen to him".

Doors open at 8pm and tickets cost £5.
