MADCHESTER fans can enjoy an evening of 90s nostalgia with tunes from Oasis and The Stone Roses performed to perfection by top tribute acts at the Robin 2 at Bilston.

Leading tribute bands Definitely Might Be and Adored will be taking to the stage on Friday July 22 in a rescheduled double headline gig packed with classics from the Madchester years.

Charismatic lead singer Ian Alcock fronts both bands as Ian Brown (Stone Roses) and Oasis's Liam Gallagher to whom he bears a striking resemblance which has netted him work as a lookalike on a host of TV and advertising campaigns.

The Oasis vs Stone Roses evening will feature a blast from the past of the biggest hits from both influential Manchester based bands whose albums have graced the NME's greatest albums of all time list.

Chasing Yesterday, a tribute to Noel Gallagher, will provide support.

The gig had been due to take place on August 26 but was brought forward by a month.

Meanwhile - Fred Zepellin who were due to play on July 22 will perform at the venue on Saturday September 17 instead.

Tickets for the Oasis vs Stone Roses night are available in advance, priced £9, or on the door for £11.
