A BLACK Country pub will get visitors in the festival mood next weekend as it hosts a bank holiday event.

The Lawnswood, in Wordsley, has got two nights of live music, while the bar will be decorated in hay and inflatable guitars, meaning you won't need to be at Glastonbury to experience the festival feeling.

Kicking off at 9pm on Saturday August 28, is the Chris Hannis show, playing firm favourites from a mix of genres, including Irish folk to reggae and ska – and by one man and a guitar.

Elmore Row, an acoustic duo performs covers of country, rock, blues and pop anthems will be bringing their unique style to the pub from 9pm on Sunday August 29.

Visitors can expect to hear popular tunes from The Lumineers, Amy Winehouse, The Beatles and Bruno Mars in their upbeat festival-esque show.

The event will have its own ‘Iron Maiden’s Trooper’ themed ale, next to the pub’s regulars.
