STOURBRIDGE charity supporters have lined up another Sunday afternoon Oxjam live music festival at a Wollaston pub.

The event, organised by Stourbridge Oxfam (SOX), will run from 2pm until late on Sunday April 9 at Katie Fitzgerald’s in Enville Street.

An array of Black Country bands and artists will be performing at the event which will raise funds for projects co-ordinated by national charity Oxfam, which is working to end poverty.

Andrea Boden, of SOX, said: "We are all excited about this and have many excellent bands and individual performers who are devoting their time, talents and energies selflessly - and without payment - to help others far needier than themselves."

Acts set to take to the stage include Flat Stanley, The Flying Ant Day, Discotramps, Rhythmajig, Jess Silk, Danni G, Leon Gormley and Eddy Morton.

There will also be arts and crafts people, face-painting, cakes plus vegetarian and vegan food at the event which The Mayor of Dudley, Councillor Mohammed Hanif is expected to attend.

Andrea said last year’s first-ever event, held in August, was “very well attended” and she added: "I was overwhelmed by the generosity of the participants. We donated funds to Syrian refugees - and some money towards ongoing projects in Yemen, the Philippines and Nepal."

Admission is by donation and all proceeds will go to Oxfam.
