HALESOWEN hound dog Mark Summers – officially the UK’s number one Elvis tribute – is returning to the borough to perform his annual homecoming gig next week.

Mark is bringing his own brand of Elvis magic to the Black Country as he performs alongside the Memphis Sons at a one off Elvis Summers show at Brierley Hill Civic Hall on Friday, July 21.

The winner of a host of international competitions and described as the closest performer you will get to Elvis, he even has the blessing of The King's wife Priscilla Presley.

The Brierley Hill show will be his hometown return and is set to be packed with all Elvis’ greatest hits, from the early 50s through the movies and of course the Vegas hits, while Mark wears a selection of costumes made in the USA from the same people that made Elvis’ own, including a gold jacket that was on display at Graceland.

It will also be a tribute to his former drummer and best friend Chris Smith who passed away earlier this year. Chris had toured with Mark and the band for the past three to four years, both in the UK and Europe. He was also the bands record producer.

The show is a must for any Elvis fan and is guaranteed to leave everyone ‘All Shook Up’. Expect high energy, lots of fun, live music at its best as Elvis is back in the building.

Tickets to the show, which cost £10 in advance or £12 on the door, are available online at www.bhillcivic.co.uk, or by calling the box office on 01384 573381.

This year has been full packed for the winner of the National Tribute awards with appearances worldwide, while Mark and the band have been playing five to six nights a week at venues up and down the UK including Butlin’s, Warner’s, theatres and casinos.

Next year is set to be even bigger, with major tours planned all around the UK including dates in Europe and the USA.
