FOLLOWING on from a successful gig last year, staff at a Halesowen skating shop are set to rock out once again this weekend.

SkateHut’s charity Big Gig returns on Saturday (September 30) when three country and rock bands will be performing in aid of a good cause.

The Shenstone Trading Estate shop’s gig last year was a huge success, raising almost £1,000 for Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

And team is hoping to hit all the right notes again when Stone Mountain Sinners and special guests lead a night of music at Birmingham Street venue Benjamin’s.

A spokesman for the shop said: “2016's Big Gig was pretty special, but this year we’re going bigger and better.

“All in aid of Birmingham Children's Hospital, we’re bringing some of the best Midlands based bands together for one amazing night.”

Tickets for Big Gig 2017 are available now for £4 in advance from SkateHut, or £5 on the door, which open at 7pm.
