BLACK Country rockers Lazy J are planning to keep it local for an album launch in early 2014.

The Stourbridge-based four piece, whose fans include Steve Craddock of Ocean Colour Scene, will be raising the curtain on their third long-player, The Bones Are There, on Friday January 31.

The band plays a mix of funk, blues and rock, they will be at Moochers in Stourbridge to lift the lid on the long-awaited follow-up to previous albums Kick the Spin and Dysfunctional.

Lazy J feature regularly on the playlist at Kerrang FM, the station also voted the group Best Unsigned Band of The Year.

Moocher’s director, Sarah Evans, said: “We have regular contact with the band and the album is the culmination of 12 months hard work for them.”

Doors open at 7.30pm, advance tickets are available directly from the band or Moochers, New Road, priced at £5. Tickets will also be available on the night.
