Athlete return after tough times

ATHLETE’S latest album is a very personal journey through tough times for the south London band.
After seven years and three successful albums the group are back with their latest release, Black Swan, which includes the single Black Swan Song.
The song is dedicated to Athlete frontman Joel Pott’s grandfather whose death in 2005 had a profound effect on the singer.
Joel said: “He collapsed and was taken to the hospital where I was able to see him and say goodbye.
“He died later that night with my father by his side. My dad said it was like watching a soldier fight his last battle.”
Athlete will be on stage at Wolverhampton’s Wulfrun Hall on Thursday December 10.
