STOURBRIDGE will welcome some of the country’s top stand up comics next weekend.

Plenty of laughs are guaranteed at the Stourbridge Comedy Festival, which takes place on July 18, 19 and 20.

The festival kicks off at Moochers Bar, where Comedy Hut favourite Andy Robinson will take to the stage before Canadian headline act Katherine Ryan.

Ryan has appeared in 8 out of 10 Cats, was a regular in sitcom Campus and was Niki Minaj on Lets Dance for Comic Relief.

Tickets for the fun-filled evening, which starts at 8.30pm cost £8.

Later that evening, The Mitre will host a Late Night Show at 11pm, which is free of charge but contains adult material.

Stourbridge Football Club will play host to Carey Marx on Friday July 19.

Marx, who can often be found headlining Glee Club, will be warming up for headline act Lucy Porter.

Porter is one of the most recognised female comics in the country and has appeared on Mock The Week, Buzzcocks, Celebrity Masterchef and Have I Got News For You.

Both acts will be on stage for an hour from 8.30pm and tickets cost £12 The festival will draw to a close at The Mitre, Lower High Street, Stourbridge, on Sunday July 20.

Show Me The Funny’s Alfie Moore will kick off proceedings followed by Jarred Christmas of Lets Dance and Daves One Night Stand fame.

Tickets for the Edinburgh festival warm-up show, which starts at 8.30pm, cost £12.

A full three-day festival ticket is available for £26.
