Doctor Who newcomer Samuel Anderson has said Jenna Coleman was like a helpful big sister when he joined the show.
The actor has arrived in the BBC series as Danny Pink, a love interest for Jenna's Doctor's assistant Clara Oswald, and told the Radio Times she showed him and incoming Doctor Peter Capaldi the ropes in their first few weeks.
He said: "She was like a big sister to me and Peter; the young veteran showing us around the Tardis. Jenna actually commented after my first couple of weeks on set, 'I can't believe you've gone this long without pressing any buttons.'
"I was trying to be professional, but now I push all the buttons. I can fly like a demon. I'm like Ayrton Senna on the Tardis."
Jenna and Samuel have been co-stars before, in ITV soap Emmerdale - she played journalist Jasmine Thomas between 2005 and 2009, while he was police officer Ross Kirk between 2007 and 2009.
Despite rumours that Jenna would be quitting as Clara before Christmas, the BBC has confirmed she will be involved in this year's festive special, her third on the show.
