The Voice favourite Stevie McCrorie has revealed he is on a self-imposed booze ban in a bid to win the show.

Firefighter Stevie is hoping to triumph on the BBC singing contest at the weekend and, according to The Sun, is giving himself the best chance possible by cutting out drinking ahead of his performance.

He said: “Water’s the only thing for me at the moment. I’d have a few social pints during the pre-recorded shows because it wasn’t as full-on.

“But with the live shows, I need to be on my game. But however I go out, I’ll be having a big drink.”

Stevie, who is on Ricky Wilson’s team, added: “I would love to win The Voice, especially as I’m now in touching distance of it.”

Meanwhile, one of the show’s coaches, Rita Ora, has apparently been told to cover up more by BBC bosses.

The Sun reported that she had been told to think carefully about her outfit choices after being pictured out and about in a see-through top with no bra underneath and another time wearing a T-shirt with a photo of breasts on the front, as well as appearing on The One Show in a plunging suit with no top underneath.

A source said: “Bosses didn’t get involved when viewers complained about the revealing suit she wore on The One Show in January.

“But the T-shirt was felt to be close to the mark – and her see-through top took her right over it.”
