Scarlett Johansson has revealed she would like her own Marvel spin-off movie, as she reprised the role of Black Widow for the fourth time.

The 30-year-old actress returns to play Russian spy Natasha Romanoff and her alter-ego in the latest comic-book adventure, Avengers: Age Of Ultron, alongside Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo and Jeremy Renner.

“A Black Widow movie would be cool. I’m always happy to put the catsuit back on and looking at myself in all those mirrors,” she said, ahead of the film’s UK premiere tonight.

“What’s great about playing this character is she’s based in something deep and something I can hold onto. She’s grounded and is very real. She has experienced a lot of trauma and she’s never been able to make active choices for herself, and now she is ready for it.”

The sequel to 2012′s Avengers Assemble, once again directed by Joss Whedon, sees Scarlett’s character sharing some romantic moments with Bruce Banner and the Hulk, played by Mark.

“I think one of the qualities of the Black Widow that I really love and am interested in is that she is at a place where she is able to maybe do something for herself and maybe, even have a relationship and open up in that way,” the Lost In Translation actress continued.

“There is this kind of greater calling that is pulling her but she very selflessly shoots it back and it’s heroic… she is a slippery fish in her job but when you get Natasha, she’s kind of cool and can be her sexy self.”

During the film’s press conference, held at London’s Corinthia Hotel, Robert stood up and swapped his glasses, after joking it is “time for a costume change”.

The 50-year-old star – who returns to play Tony Stark/Iron Man – said he was most excited about “his first costume fitting, surrounded by many full-length mirrors” before shooting on the film began.

The Avengers stars will be joined by the film’s newcomers Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany, at the premiere at Vue Westfield in west London tonight.
