Game Of Thrones fans may need cheering up after it was announced that the next series will not air until the summer of 2017.

So a hilarious blooper reel has been released from the sixth season of the fantasy drama, featuring appearances from Kit Harington, Emilia Clarke and Peter Dinklage.

The new outtakes were unveiled as some of the cast and creators of Game Of Thrones gathered for a panel about the show at Comic-Con International in San Diego.

In the blooper reel, Peter, who plays Tyrion Lannister, repeatedly struggles to say the word “benevolent”, leaving his cast-mates in fits of giggles.

Emilia fluffs her line as her character Daenerys Targaryen speaks the fictional Dothraki language, while Kit – who plays Jon Snow – winks to the camera before his character was brought back to life on the show.

HBO bosses have confirmed that instead of the traditional April air date for Game Of Thrones, the show is being pushed back to summer 2017 to accommodate shooting schedules.

They also revealed that the series will be shorter at seven episodes instead of the usual 10 for the first time.
