Developer St Modwen is reviewing feedback from its public consultation on controversial proposals to move a sports and social club onto green belt at Coombs Wood in Halesowen.

The firm has pledged to build a new sports and social club and an environmental education area for Olive Hill Primary School because it wants to sell the club's existing site for housing.

More than 50 people from the local community attended the consultation at Olive Hill Primary School on March 12 and discussed proposals with St Modwen.

Ian Romano, of St Modwen, said: "We are reviewing all the comments received and are proposing to hold another consultation evening once we have completed the studies that will be needed to be undertaken which will also inform changes to the plan."

Protestors say proposals will destory valuable green belt which is a haven for wildlife.
