A Halesowen shop owner is preparing to take to the stage at a major music festival.
Mark Moran, who runs Specs Maniax on Hagley Road, will play lead guitar for tribute act Crowded Out at the Acoustic Festival of Britain at Derbyshire's Catton Hall Park on Saturday May 24.
The band are the top tribute act to Australian rockers Crowded House, and appear on the bill alongside legendary acts including Jethro Tull, Donovan and Bad Company.
Mark, who joined the group in 2006, said he hoped the festival appearance would lead to the band playing more local gigs.
Mark said: "The only other tribute band booked to play the festival is a Beatles one, so we are quite pleased to have got the slot.
"We have really good fun in the band I am really looking forward to it."
