Basketball loving youngsters at a Quinton school were treated to a visit from hoop shooters from across the pond.

Pupils at Four Dwellings High school were given a lesson in the sport by the girls' team from Chicago's Prosser High school.

The visit was arranged after teachers from Four Dwellings visited the US last year.

Deputy headteacher Ella McThurley revealed the American students were also given a tour of the school and interviewed by their Four Dwellings counterparts Ella said: "The pupils from both schools really enjoyed the experience.

"It was amazing how many similarities there were between them.

"This was a chance to build a relationship between the schools and hopefully our pupils will get the chance to visit Chicago in the near future."
