A warning to all of you who are planning a school prom night! If the limo is leaving from your house, please read on! Picture this... 8 beautiful girls in stunning outfits, 8 sets of proud parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins, numerous friends and neighbours, 1 elegant limo, 1 handsome driver AND LAST OF ALL 1 stupid woman! Who provided free entertainment to us all! Who COULD NOT wait for her fish and chips! Who WOULD NOT reverse and go the other way home!

NO, instead she sat impatiently blasting on her horn, shouting abuse, and totally ignoring any suggestions to go round the block!

As the minutes went by and her chips got colder she continued to rant like a fish wife and even threatened to call the police!

How selfish you were to try and steal the limelight, have you forgotten what it's like to be young and enjoy yourself!?

Long after the limo left people were still talking about it, but don't think you spoilt the evening. What an example to set to the younger generation. You know who you are!

im not sure i understand what is going on you failed to say why this woman was ranting and raving... are you saying that te limo was blocking the road and if so why ,was there no where for the limo to park safely by the side of the road, if not why not ,is the street too narrow for him to park and let others go passed safely. If he could not park due to other vehicles being there why did you not plan ahead and make sure the limo had enough parking room made available. It is an offence under the highways act that you willingly block the road and what would have been the response had it been a fire engine. its all very well you having a stab at this woman and maybe she was over the top with her attitude but a bit of thought on your part with consideration to other road users would have saved all the fuss.I also wonder how you would react if the same thing happened whilst you were on a journey somewhere.

In reply the householders had indeed given due consideration to the parking issue being responsible adults other venues were looked at but restricted access areas made this the most appropriate: 1)weather caused a last minute change of plan 2)it is a round road thus having two accesses to frontages it was felt for half an hour it would be acceptable. 3)the immediate residents were told earlier in the week and were all keen to come and join in the celebration.4)the lady drove directly up to the limo and just blared her horn giving no chance of explanation. 5) Of course if it had been an emergency vehicle the road would have been cleared we are responsible adults . 6)a vehicle was opposite the limo due to the fact that a parent is a wheelchair user and it was easier for them to share in the moment. 7)If it had been a funeral cortege would HER reaction have been the same...no as usual people love to moan and pick faults with people sharing happy moments a rare thing in this day an age. 8)she incited the small crowd by waving like the queen when she could get through all credit to us not to follow the vehicle and retaliate...NO WE ARE THOUGHTFUL CONSIDERATE ADULTS NOT LOOKING FOR A FIGHT (although we felt like it).9) If this was a regular occurence then I can fully understand the reaction but this was a 1 off never to be repeated occassion.
