Son of glam rock king teams up with T Rex tribute band

ROLAN Bolan, son of 70s rock guru Marc Bolan, is making a rare appearance with leading tribute band T Rextasy at a top Black Country night spot.

The gig at The Robin 2, Bilston, next month will celebrate the 65th birthday and commemorate the 35th anniversary of the death of the King of Glam.

Marc Bolan’s life was cut short when he was killed in a car crash aged 29, but his T Rex hits like Telegram Sam and Children of the Revolution made him and his music legendary.

T Rexasty, the only tribute band endorsed by his family and winner of the Best Live Tribute Band in the UK on BBC1, has toured the world.

The band is teaming up with Rolan Bolan, a successful singer and guitarist in his own right, having written more than 160 songs and recorded with the top producers in the business, on Saturday November 3.

Doors open at 7.30pm and tickets are priced £12 in advance or £13 on the night. To book call the box office on 01902 401211 or visit therobin.co.uk
