RSPCA appeal for help in Halesowen
5:31pm Tuesday 30th October 2012 in News
THE RSPCA is appealing for animal lovers to join a new fundraising group which has been set up in Halesowen.
The move follows the recent opening of the Birmingham Animal Centre at its new site in Frankley.
Community fundraiser Helen Tuite said the initial meeting will be at the centre in Frankley Green, but volunteers can organise their own venue for future meetings closer to home if they wish.
It is envisaged they will organise events such as coffee mornings and quizzes.
She said: “We rely on people in our local community to fundraise for us. They can do it on their own, get their friends to join in, or with colleagues at work.
“They can either think of their own events or we can send them a fundraising pack with ideas to help them. All the money they raise will go towards helping the animals we look after here."
Anyone wishing to attend the meeting on Wednesday November 14 from 7pm until 8.30pm should contact her on 07715 540518 or bhamfundraising@rspca.org.uk in advance.
