Halesowen sale to dish up funds for foodbank
9:55am Wednesday 31st October 2012 in News
A NEARLY new sale - with all items price tagged at either 50p or £1 - is being organised in Halesowen to raise funds for the Black Country Foodbank.
The charity’s volunteers will be selling winter clothes for men, women and children at United Church on Saturday November 10 between 2pm and 3.30pm.
Retro and party-wear will also be on sale, together with children’s toys and bedding.
The foodbank supports vulnerable people and families in crisis by distributing emergency food supplies from outlets across the borough.
Foodbank volunteer Helen Bryan said: “As it becomes increasingly difficult to make ends meet, more people are turning to us for support.
“We raised over £150 through a similar sale a few months ago which was used by the foodbank to help local people in crisis.”
