CYCLISTS in Halesowen and Cradley are being urged to have their say by joining a boroughwide lobbying group.

The Dudley Cycle Forum tackles cycling issues in Dudley and comments on council proposals and strategies that relate to active travel.

Attended by elected members and senior council offices, it also encourages debate on wider issues such as, education, training and promotion of cycling and whether roads and cycle paths are fit for purpose.

Councillor Judy Foster, cabinet member for transport, said: “There are a number of cycling initiatives taking place in the borough at the moment and we are keen to engage with local cyclists and other interested parties to see what’s important to them.

“The cycle forum is a great way to get involved and find out what’s going on in Dudley borough and I hope lots of people will come along and have their say on this important topic.”

It meets four times a year and its first meeting of the new year will be on Monday January 14 at the Dell Stadium, Brierley Hill, from 6pm until 7.30pm.
