The Six Towns Credit Union is running weekly sessions at Bleakhouse Library, Oldbury to offer help to people with their finances.

Every Monday from 10am until noon people can open an account and make regular savings while using the library.

The sessions are run by Credit Union volunteers and they can help residents to open an account which provides instant access to their savings, save up for Christmas and budget for bills.

Later this year the Credit Union is launching its own current account and anyone can open an account, even those who find it difficult to be accepted at High Street banks.

Library users will also be offered advice on how to manage their household budgets by offering practical tips.
