GALLONS of fun and bucketsful of laughter are promised when a company of clowns descend on Halesowen.

The National Clown Theatre is performing at the Cornbow Hall to bring what is billed as “the happiest half term happening” to youngsters in the town on Friday February 22.

The locally-based company run by Peter Rowell combines the comedy of pantomime with the thrill of the circus.

Mr Rowell said: “The show features traditional slapstick, magic, quick change illusions, a human slinky acrobat, high flying diabolos, balancing, prizes and surprises.

“The company is one of Britain’s last surviving travelling clown troupes travelling throughout the UK, bringing entertainment heritage to a new generation.

The show, starting at 1.30pm, is aimed at youngsters aged two to nine and tickets, priced £5, are available in advance by ringing 01384 423496.
