A LUCKY Halesowen couple have won an exotic holiday to Dubai in a free prize draw at a travel agency.
Pauline Tromans and husband Michael scooped the four night break in a five-star hotel courtesy of The Midcounties Co-operative Travel and long-haul tour operator Travel 2.
They will head out to the sun and dazzling sky-high architecture of the Arab Emirates in June.
Mrs Tromans, a retired Open University administrator, found out about the win just before her 70th birthday.
She said: “What a great early birthday present, I could not believe it. I have never won anything like this before. Dubai is a place I have always fancied seeing because people say how lovely it is.”
Mrs Tromans entered the prize draw at the Midcounties’ branch in Hagley Street, Halesowen, when she and Michael, a retired engineer, went to book a holiday to Italy.
“I saw the form and thought I would have a go, but I never thought I would win. We are both keen golfers and we have been to Europe quite a few times. We have never travelled to the Middle East before and are really looking forward to a memorable trip,” she added.
The holiday competition draw was run throughout the 54 branches of The Midcounties Co-operative Travel.
Kerry Jones, manager at Halesowen, said: “We’re delighted that a customer at our branch won this fantastic prize. Pauline and Michael have been booking their holidays with us for four or five years now and we’re so happy for them. We hope they have a great time.”
