Halesowen Cricket Club hosting the Jazz Hounds this weekend

TRADITIONAL jazz band the Jazz Hounds are set to play at Halesowen Cricket Club on Sunday night.

The quartet jazz group evolved from the Harmony Hounds and have played at many clubs and festivals over the years, they specialise in 1920-1930’s jazz. Trevor Jones, from the jazz club, said: “The Jazz Hounds have excited Jazz lovers for years. Although a quartet the band provide a ‘big band’ sound.”

The line up includes Colin Turner ( bass saxophone), Warren Latham (baritone,tenor saxaphones), Phil Wall (clarinet) and Chris Howes (banjo/vocals).

The evening runs from 8.30 to 11pm and admissions are £4 on the door.
