Inquest into Halesowen stabbing death opened this morning

AN inquest into the death of a Halesowen man who was stabbed to death was opened and adjourned today.

David Carpenter, aged 47, died on Sunday February 3 after an incident at an address in Graham Road.

The inquest, at Smethwick Coroner’s Court, was adjourned awaiting the results of a trial at Wolverhampton Crown Court.

Ian Swinburne, aged 49, of Stourbridge Road, Dudley, is charged with murdering Mr Carpenter and is expected to stand trial in July.
