AN undertaker charged with murdering his wife, a former Blackheath Primary School teacher, made two trips to Leominster on the day she disappeared, Worcester Crown Court was told.
John Taylor was seen to put bagged up rubbish related to a house renovation he was working on there into a skip.
He worked on the house with a friend and left because he was “concerned” that he had not been able to contact his wife, Alethea.
Jurors at his trial also heard how the 60-year-old had spent some of the day making final arrangements for a funeral the following day.
He denies murdering 63-year-old Mrs Taylor and disposing of her body, which has not been found despite extensive searches since disappeared from her Herefordshire home in the village of Orleton on January 19 last year.
The trial continues.
