Wilkinson stores launch charity appeal
11:11am Tuesday 12th March 2013 in News
SHOPPERS are being asked to donated unwanted clothing to Wilkinson stores in Halesowen and Blackheath to raise money for the company’s regional charity of the year, Macmillan Cancer Support.
A clothes collection point will be available until April 30 for Bags of Support, organised by Clothes Aid.
Good quality clothes, shoes, belts, accessories and household linen can be donated and at least £300 will be paid to the charity for every tonne weighed in.
Neil Fisher, manager of the Halesowen store, said: “We really hope our loyal customers can help us with this fundraiser, as we believe everyone must have at least one item of clothing they can recycle.
“Whether it’s a coat you don’t wear anymore or something the kids have grown out of, it can all be recycled for Macmillan Cancer Support, rather than ending up in landfill.”
