Easter events at Cradley church

CHILDREN can explore the real meaning of Easter at a Cradley church on Good Friday (March 29).

St Peter’s Church, Church Road, is holding a session for toddlers and primary school children which will see them create an Easter Garden and explore the Good Friday story.

It starts at 10am.

Reverend Katryn Leclézio said: “There is something very moving when children explore the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

“Children enter into the story with faith, with conviction that bizarre though it seems, there is something real in this story which touches our lives here and now.”

The childrens’ event will be followed at 2pm with an hour of reflections in the church.

On Easter Sunday the ceremonies begin at 8am with the lighting of the Easter candle followed by bacon butty breakfast, then Holy Communion at 9.30am.
