THINGS will be hotting up at Merry Hill’s food court tomorrow (Saturday) when Apprentice candidate Tim Stillwell opens his new Mexican restaurant at the centre.

Tim, who appeared on the current season of the hit BBC show for aspiring entrepreneurs, will be launching Burrito Kitchen at Eat Central, and will be welcoming customers with tastings, vouchers, promotions and prizes.

The 23-year-old businessman from Birmingham (pictured), who was one of the early victims of the boardroom back in May, enjoyed success before the show with his Burrito Van which sold fresh fast Mexican food to students on campus at Birmingham University.

He said: “I can’t wait to officially open the restaurant on Saturday. After the success of Burrito Van, I’m excited to bring the concept to Westfield Merry Hill.

“The centre is a great place for us to set up – it’s got a fantastic reputation, is always busy and is in a great location. It’s brilliant that the centre is willing to invest in young independent businesses rather than just chains.

“I plan to be very hands-on with the business and will be managing the restaurant. I’m looking forward to meeting – and feeding – lots of hungry shoppers.”

Kelly Reed, marketing manager at Westfield Merry Hill, said: “We’re very excited to welcome Tim and Burrito Kitchen to the centre. Mexican food is always a favourite so we can’t wait for our shoppers to sample our new offering.

“Ever since our customers saw Tim on the show they’ve been hotly anticipating his arrival in Eat Central. The focus will be on fast food that is fresh and great-tasting, and we’re sure it’ll be a hit.”
