A DESPERATE Rowley Regis man, armed with an air pistol, to tried to clear a drug debt by carrying out a robbery.
Daniel Bray was told he faces a long prison sentence when he admitted attempting to rob a man and possessing an imitation firearm at Wolverhampton Crown Court.
Jas Mann, defending the 24-year-old, of Dudhill Walk, said he owed £720 and was told to get the money “and it did not matter how”.
Judge Michael Dudley, who remanded him in custody for a pre-sentence report, told him: "You know it is going to be a long sentence but the court does need to know a great deal more about you before the case can be finalised."
