GREEN-fingered solicitors have been busy planting a treat for elderly residents at an Oldbury housing complex.
As part of their 60th anniversary celebrations, the team at QualitySolicitors Silks (corr) renovated the garden of St David’s Court, a Jephson Homes Housing Association scheme in Birmingham Street.
Resident Connie Collins, who moved in a week after it opened 25 years ago, said: “It is very heart-warming to know that people can be so generous and caring. We all really appreciate their wonderful efforts.”
Garden centre A & D Aquatic also helped by donating bags of compost and a variety of azaleas.
Gary Storer, Silks manager, said: “To mark our 60th anniversary we really wanted to give something back to the local community - St David’s Court is at the very heart of Oldbury and just opposite our office so it was a perfect fit.”
