EXTRA police have been on duty in Kinver today after two people were found with head injuries.
The victims, a male and female, both in their 40s, were found in the early hours of this morning (Sunday September 1).
The man was found in Enville Road at around 1am, he was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham where is condition is described as serious.
A female was found nearby a short time after the male, she was taken to Russells Hall Hospital in Dudley where she underwent treatment and was later released.
Staffordshire Police say they are keeping an open mind as to how the pair came by their injuries.
Kinver’s senior police officer, Inspector Geoff Knight, said: “Increased patrols and resources will be there throughout the day and keeping a visible presence.
“Members of the community should not hesitate to engage with officers if they have any information.”
