Halesowen garden of two halves opens to the public
1:21pm Wednesday 11th September 2013 in News
A GARDEN of contrasts in Halesowen will be open to the public next Sunday (September 22) for the third time this year, showing off its late summer charm.
Created and maintained by tattooed gardener Peter Bridgens and partner Michael King at their home at 13 Lansdowne Road, visitors will be able to view the “jungly” lower area and the “pristine and pretty” top section from 2.30pm until 5pm.
The pair hope to boost the £730 already raised for cancer and alzheimers charities through the National Gardens Scheme and admission will be £3 with teas also available.
Mr Bridgens said the garden was looking “very full” adding: “We’d like to thank all those who have helped with our open days, making cakes, manning the entrance and serving teas.”
