10:26am Thursday 12th September 2013 in News
DRIVERS are being urged to take extra care on wet roads after overnight rain in the Black Country.
Following dry weather and a spell of late summer rain on the horizon road surfaces could be slippy and West Midlands Fire Service is urging caution.
The warning comes after a driver had a lucky escape following an early morning crash in Wollescote when a Ford KA vehicle hit a garden wall.
A spokesperson from West Midlands Fire Service said: "We are asking drivers to be vigilant when driving on slippy roads which can make conditions treacherous, they should also watch their speed."
The incident took place in Oldnall Road, one fire crew from Stourbridge was dispatched to the scene at 7.01am today (Thursday September 12).
A single car was involved and one woman was treated at the scene for shock.
