A GRATEFUL dad is running his first marathon to raise money for the hospital that cared for his two premature babies.
Adam Skett, from Halesowen, is proud father to one-year-old Ethan and Amelie, aged eight months, who were both born seven weeks early, at around 3lbs in weight.
Wife Emma had to undergo caesarian sections for both children due to a lack of blood passing through the placenta and they were cared for at Birmingham Women’s Hospital.
After completing the Birmingham Half Marathon last year, the 34-year-old pipe fitter, of Fallowfield Road, is gearing up for his first marathan in Bournemouth on Sunday, October 6.
“They received a phenomenal standard of care so I wanted to repay them by raising money for the Tiny Babies Appeal,” said Mr Skett.
Anyone who would like to sponsor him can do so online at justgiving.com/adamskett.
