Halesowen schoolgirl Christina Edkins murder suspect due in court

THE man accused of murdering Halesowen schoolgirl Christina Edkins will appear in court tomorrow (Wednesday) to enter a plea.
Phillip Simelane, from Walsall, is accused of murdering 16-year-old Christina as she travelled on a bus to Leasowes High School.
Christina was stabbed as she sat on the top deck of the bus as it headed along Hagley Road at around 7.30am on March 7. She died at the scene.
The case against Simelane, aged 23, was last heard on September 6 during which Birmingham Crown Court heard he was deemed unfit to stand trial. He has not appeared at any previous hearings.
The case was adjourned until October 2 for further psychiatric reports.
