A MAN who was stabbed during an incident at a house in Oldbury is described as stable and progressing well in hospital today.
The 28-year-old, from Tipton, suffered life-threatening stab wounds and was in a critical condition in Birmingham's Queen Elizabeth Hospital following the attack last Tuesday night.
Police said neither he nor his alleged attacker lived at the semi-detached house in Pryor Road.
They were called to the house at about 11am and neighbours were woken by the blue flashing lights of the emergency serviices.
It is believed the house is occupied by a mother and four children aged between nine and 20.
Fifty-year-old George Adam, of Stourbridge Road, Halesowen, has been charged with attempted murder and remanded in custody by Sandwell magistrates to appear at Wolvehampton Crown Court on January 6 2014.
Police, who described the attack as a "domestic inccident" are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to contact them on 101.
