Halesowen Town 3 Market Drayton Town 1 YELTZ showed they are not distracted by their cup exploits with a comprehensive win over struggling Market Drayton.

Nigel Penney scored his first goal for club and had a hand in two more as Halesowen moved up to fourth in the Evo-Stik Northern League Division One South table.

Penney made the breakthrough in the 15th minute after the visitor’s keeper Matt Cohen failed to deal with a ball in from the left.

Pressure was mounting on the away side and Chris Lait headed a second in the 32nd minute after being set up by Penney.

Ben Haseley then tapped in a third seven minutes after the break after more unselfish work by Penney.

Lait had chances to extend the lead but Kyle Blake pulled one back for the visitors 12 minutes from the end.
