A SILENT auction is being run by a Halesowen builders merchants as part of its £50,000 charity campaign.
Chandlers Roofing Supplies launched the fundraising challenge for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust in honour of an employee from a branch in the south east who suffers from the condition.
Among the lots is an unusual chance to become a character in the next novel by best selling crime author Peter James.
the highest bidder will have their name or company name immortalised in print in the latest Detective Superintendent Roy Grace novel.
Halesowen branch manager Dave Horton said: “This really is a once in a lifetime opportunity and something that could make a fantastic Christmas gift. A big thank you in advance to anyone that supports our charity campaign and makes a bid, it really is appreciated.”
The winning bidder and a guest will also be invited to attend the novel’s launch party in June 2014 and will receive a signed copy of the finished book.
